The economic crisis has hit low-wage workers the hardest, both in the US and around the world. In this workshop, we'll look at case studies of recent international labor solidarity campaigns: what has worked, what hasn't, and what have we learned both about how we organize in our home communities and how we work with international allies. We will showcase a range of strategies that activists and organizations in the US are using, such as corporate campaigns, local organizing campaigns and policy reform.
Co-sponsored by ILRF, Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility, Jobs with Justice, SEIU, SweatFree Communities and United Steelworkers, and featuring a union leader from Honduras
